Paraben-Free Makeup For All Your Needs: From Primer To Lipstick
Lately, people are becoming more and more conscious about the kind of makeup products they’re using. You can see the terms vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and paraben-free makeup popping up everywhere. But just what do these terms mean? Well, cruelty-free makeup refers to products which have not been tested on animals while vegan-friendly products are those which do not contain animal ingredients or animal-derived ingredients.
Paraben-free makeup on the other hand, as the name suggests, is cosmetic products which do not contain any parabens, which are chemicals that are regularly used in food and cosmetic products as preservatives in order to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold and extend shelf life. The reason people want to use paraben-free makeup is that many believe parabens are linked to breast cancer due to the fact they contain some weak estrogen-like properties which cause breast cells (both cancerous and normal) to grow and divide.
