Apply Liquid Eyeliner Perfectly With These Easy Steps
Applying eyeliner is difficult as it is, having to apply it evenly, then after you’re done with one eye you have to do the same procedure to the other one. Applying liquid liner? Now that’s a whole different difficulty. Did that give you flashbacks to when you do it and the stress you go through? Because I had a few of those moments.
Anyways liner is a beauty process that will never go out style and that’s according to me. But it is very difficult to achieve especially if it’s a liquid liner. No matter how many times you try or how hard you want to fix it, it somehow manages to look even worse. I know, I have had my fair share of days where I just wiped it away. But fortunately, there are plenty of YouTube videos and articles as such where you can get help and advice from.
In this article, we are going to see a few steps on how to apply liquid eyeliner.
1. First Step
Primer – I know, I know what you’re thinking, adding more steps to simply just applying the liquid liner, well if you want it to stay all day, not to smudge or transfer to your upper lid then a primer is a must. LorealParisUsa claims primers to be just as good for your eyeliner as it is for your eyeshadows.
2. Second Step
Set the primer – After priming the eyelids it is kind of mandatory to set everything in place with a loose powder or an eyeshadow. Just to lock everything in place for the next step.
3. Third Step
Eyeshadow – This step is optional, you can skip it altogether but you can always make your eyeliner look a little bit better, take your favorite transition shade and blend it into your crease. This will just give your eyes more definition.
4. Fourth Step
Eyeliner – Now comes the part we have all been waiting for, anxiously. The liquid liner. It really is up to you to decide if you want to start from the wing or the beginning of your lash line. And since it’s a liquid eyeliner and you’ve already primed and set your eyelids, start drawing a thin line across your lash line, the closer to it the better. DO NOT close your eyes, simply tilt your head back a little and while keeping your eyes opened draw a line across the lash line. Try short lines instead of a long one, just so you don’t mess it up. You can leave it at that but if you want a cat eye look and a winged liner, slowly but carefully extend the wing and make it as thick as you want.
5. Fifth Step
Clean up – Yeay, you have made it this far! This last step is the easiest to do. Take a wet wipe or a brush with concealer and clean underneath your winged liner just to make it super sharp and neat. To avoid this whole process you can use tape when you are creating your wing and that will save you a lot of time and effort. It’s super easy to do.
And voila! You have mastered how to apply liquid eyeliner. Honestly, it isn’t that difficult, once you have tried it and practice it gets easier and not as frightening as it first was. However, you do have to know how to apply it based on your eye shape. You can read all about it here: How To Apply Eyeliner Based On Your Eye Shape
