1. Use Apple Cider Vinegar
One of the most popular home remedies for oily hair according to Dr. Axe is apple cider vinegar. It also has the ability to kill the bacteria accumulated in the scalp of your hair. All you have to do is mix two to three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and then put all of this mixture in your hair. It is important to get it especially into the roots and the scalp of your hair. Leave it for two to three minutes and then rinse. You can use this remedy two to three times a week.
2. Use An Egg Yolk Mask
Egg yolk is rich in sulfur and protein – two ingredients that help strengthen and give the hair the shine it needs. Using an egg yolk mask once a week consistently can also help to combat the battle with oily hair. The procedure of this mask is very easy and you can try it whenever you want to. You only need to massage an egg yolk into the scalp of your hair, leave it around 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse away thoroughly.
3. Use Tea Tree Oil
This might sound counterintuitive but actually, tree oil is scientifically proven to help you win the battle with greasy hair overnight. This because tea tree oil keeps the hair’s natural oil – sebum under control. How can you apply it? Take 3 drops of this tea and add them to the conditioner, next use the conditioner as you normally do.
4. Rinse Your Hair With Green Tea
We can use green tea for multiple purposes. Be it for our skin to weight loss cases. However this time we’re using it for oily hair. You only need to boil 1 cup of water with ½ cup of organic green tea leaves. Then leave it until the temperature becomes lukewarm and lastly apply the mixture to your scalp and hair. Leave it like that for 45 minutes and then shampoo and rinse. Do this once to twice a week for better results.
