See How These Contestants Recreate Pinterest Recipes On Netflix’s Show ‘Nailed It!’ – The Results Are Hilarious
I like to believe that I am not the only one that has watched a cooking show and pretend they could actually make whatever they were making. After watching competition such as “Masterchef” an amateur like me, did try to get creative with food, failed miserably of course but I did give it a shot.
For those who are like me, Netflix created this show called “Nailed It!” specifically for people who try their best but don’t succeed (Coldplay anyone?). Nailed It premiered in March, has contestants with no professional background in cooking and makes them bake cakes, desserts and more. Have you ever seen a post online where a person tries to follow Pinterest recipes and sort of fails but still posts their masterpiece? Well, Netflix decided to document those attempts. The “baker” that comes closer to create a duplicate of the original wins $10,000.
The good thing about this show is that anyone making this doesn’t even come close to the original. Let’s see some of the “best” creations on the show and later binge watch it if you already haven’t.
1.Season 1, Episode 1
Elena Timman couldn’t wait for the cake to cool down before the frosting. The flowers made out of the fondue look pretty good though.
2. Season 1, Episode 2
The pirate-themed jelly filled donut contestant Amanda Giles did might have been delicious but not appealing for the eye.
3. Season 1, Episode 4
The volcano cake Meghan Swanson baked does seem like it erupted right? The dinosaur might be the one stealing the whole show.
4.Season 1, Episode 5
Dana Mon’s emoji cake was praised after she did it in a short amount of time, she did not give up and the end result doesn’t look that bad honestly.
5. Season 1, Episode 3
The hot tub cake fell apart at some places but still looks good. One of the judges like the flavor so props to Danielle Arola.
6.Season 1, Episode 2
Toni Bryant’s cake had the judges kind of terrified. Especially the princess. One said: “I don’t mean to laugh, but your princess is terrifying. And I don’t think anybody is coming to rescue her.”
7.Season 2, Episode 2
Inspired by “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Nicole Comb’s cupcake tastes amazing according to the judges.
8. Season 2, Episode 4
This gingerbread house had all the needed recipe components. Joelito Nunez effort is all that matter right?
9.Season 2, Episode 3
What do you do when you run out of fondant? Well, Edward placed a real spatula on top of his barbecue grill cake. He is innovative that’s for sure.
10. Season 2, Episode 2
Chris Elam used a carrot wrapped in fondant for this unicorn cake. I would like to say he really did nail this one.
11. Season 2, Episode 5
Kelley Williams Bolar’s snake cake tasted good according to the judges even though it did not resemble the original that much.
Have you watched the show? If not, do you plan on watching it?
