8 Simple Remedies To Get Rid of Dark Circles Using Almond Oil

Dark circles under the eyes appear due to many reasons such as stress, pollutants from the environment, lack of sleep or hormonal changes. They seem to always make us look exhausted, dull and unattractive and creams don’t usually help.

It’s therefore really important to keep the skin around our eyes constantly healthy and radiant. Don’t despair, there is a solution; a home remedy that helps reduce dark circles, the great almond oil. Rich in nourishing vitamins, this oil is used for treating many skin problems, including dark circles, because it lightens the skin and reduces dullness.

Well, as previously mentioned the skin around the eyes is really sensitive, so, due to dehydration it becomes really dry and dull so develops a black and blue tone.
Almond oil not only moisturizes the skin but its fatty acids help to supply the skin with nourishment. This magical oil is a natural bleaching agent which makes it ideal for reducing the pigmentation under the eyes.

Rich in vitamin E, this oil also helps to rejuvenate wrinkled skin, making it firm, supple and glowing. One of the simplest ways to use it is to apply and massage it around the eyes, every day, before going to sleep. 1. Honey and almond oil

First, mix 1/2 teaspoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of almond oil and blend well. Then, apply the mixture under your eyes before going to sleep.

Honey hydrates and smooths the skin under the eyes and it also prevents wrinkle formation.

2. Rose water and almond oil

Dip one cotton ball in rose water and apply it under your eyes. After it is dried, massage a few drops of almond oil and leave it overnight. You can repeat this every night before going to sleep.

Rose water refreshes the skin and it brightens the complexion by stimulating blood circulation.

3. Olive oil and almond oil

Simply mix 1/2 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon of almond oil and rub a little bit of the blend between your fingertips in order to warm up the oil. Then, apply this under your eyes and massage in circular motions. Leave it overnight. You can repeat this every night before going to sleep.

Both almond and olive oil are rich in fatty acids that nourish the skin and reduce the dullness and darkness.

4. Castor oil and almond oil

Mix one teaspoon of each almond and castor oil and apply the mixture on the under eye area. This remedy is also best done at night so you can leave the mixture on overnight.

Castor oil is great for the sensitive skin under the eyes because the ricinoleic acid found in it acts as a skin conditioning agent.

5. Vaseline and almond oil

Simply add a few drops of almond oil to a pea-sized amount of Vaseline and mix well. Then, apply this mixture under and around the eyes and massage in circular motions for a minute or two. Leave it on overnight. Just be careful, because if Vaseline enters your eye, it can cause irritation. If this happens to you while applying, make sure to rinse it thoroughly with clean water.

Vaseline is great for keeping the skin from drying. Also, the petrolatum in Vaseline reduces the signs of skin aging such as fine lines and wrinkles.

6. Almond oil and lemon juice

Just add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice to one teaspoon of oil and mix well. Then, apply it under your eyes and keep it on overnight. Repeat every night.
Lemon is a well known natural bleaching agent. Also, it contains vitamin C that enhances the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.

7. Aloe vera and almond oil

Simply, mix 1/2 a vteaspoon of each, fresh aloe vera gel and almond oil and apply it under your eyes. Leave it on for an hour and then rinse it off with cool water. You can repeat this remedy twice a day.

Aloe vera soothes and rejuvenates the skin by providing essential vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids to it.

8. Almond oil and turmeric

You will need just one teaspoon almond oil and a pinch of turmeric powder. First, mix them well and then apply this under the eyes. After ten to fifteen minutes rinse with water. You can repeat this twice a day.

Turmeric contains curcumin that acts as an antioxidant,  leaving the skin complexion even and lighter. Also, it protects the skin cells from oxidative damage.
