12 Really Easy And Effective Home Remedies To Get Rid Of A Dark Neck
Radiant and light faces definitely don’t go all that well with a tanned neck. We often do our regular facial massages or treatment but we usually neglect the neck and we don’t take good care of it. Because of the lack of treatments the neck gets really dull and pigmented with time.
Many people usually just clean their faces and neglect the proper care that the neck needs too. Pollutants accumulate and damage the skin around the neck. Over time, after not taking care of your neck for a considerable amount of time, you’ll see that the neck has dark patches and wrinkles. 1. Aloe Vera gel

First, take an aloe leaf and cut it open to extract the gel. Then, scrub the neck for several minutes with the gel and leave it on for 10 minutes. Finally, rinse it with water. You can repeat this every day.
The aloe vera consists of Aloesin that is great for lightening the skin. Also, this gel keeps the skin hydrated and nourished.
2. Apple cider vinegar

For this home remedy, you will need two tablespoons apple cider vinegar and four tablespoons of water as well as a cotton ball. First, mix the vinegar and the water and apply the solution with a cotton ball on your neck. After ten minutes, rinse it with warm water. You can repeat this every day.
The malic acid found in ACV balances the pH of the skin.
This vinegar also removes the dead skin cells on the neck that prevent the skin from glowing.

Take just a few drops of almond oil and after cleaning your neck with soap and water massage it with the oil. You can also add tea tree oil as well. After massaging for about ten minutes, rinse with lukewarm water. You can also do this every day.
Rich in vitamin E, almond oil really rejuvenates and smooths the skin. And not only that but this oil also acts as a bleaching agent with its sclerosant properties that help in improving the complexion of the skin.

For this home remedy, you will need only two or three tablespoons baking soda and water.
First, add some water to the baking soda to get a creamy paste and apply it on your neck. After it is dried, scrub it off using wet fingers and afterward, rinse your neck with water.
The baking soda promotes circulation and nourishes the skin, so this will help you remove the dead skin cells from your neck.
5. Olive oil and lemon juice

First, mix equal parts of lemon juice and olive oil and then apply it on your neck before going to sleep. You should repeat this every night for a month in order to see skin lightening results.
The olive oil conditions and hydrates the skin whereas the bleaching properties of the lemon lighten the complexion of the skin.
6. Potato juice

First, squeeze the juice of one small potato and apply it to your neck. After ten to fifteen minutes rinse it with warm water. You should repeat this once or twice a day for best results.

7. Oatmeal scrub

For this remedy you will need:
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon tomato juice
- Rose water or olive oil
Start with grinding the oats till you get a coarse powder and then add the tomato juice and rose water to get a thick paste. You should apply this mixture on your neck and after 20 minutes start scrubbing gently with wet fingers. Finally, wash it off with cold water.
The oats make an excellent removal tool for the dead skin cells since they cleanse and moisturize the skin at the same time.
8. Ubtan for dark neck

In order to prepare this home remedy you will need:
- two tablespoons besan (chick pea flour)
- one pinch of turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- Rose water or plain yogurt
First, mix all the ingredients together until you get a smooth paste. Then, apply the paste on the neck and leave it dry for about fifteen minutes. After that, just rinse with warm water.
You can use this regularly to reduce pigmentation on your neck and keep the skin radian since the flour in this mix exfoliates the skin and it absorbs pollutants.
9. Vitamin E oil

Start with piercing three or four vitamin E capsules carefully and then, transfer the oil present inside to a bowl. After that, apply it on the neck and massage it for several minutes and leave it overnight.
The vitamin E inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, therefore exerting a depigmenting effect on the skin.

Mix a teaspoon lemon juice and one or two tablespoons yogurt and apply it on the neck. After 20 minutes, rinse it with warm water. You should repeat this every day for best results.
