The American television host, Wendy Williams, fainted during the Halloween episode of her talk show; The Wendy Williams Show. It happened during a live taping of her annual program “How You Doin’ Halloween Costume Contest”. It all took place in front of the eyes of her audience and staff members, on Tuesday morning.Fifty-three-year-old Wendy was dressed in a costume as the Statue of Liberty when she suddenly started realizing what was happening – she started slurring her words at first, then, she stumbled, before falling to the floor looking pretty scared.
Her staff rushed to help her, and the show went into a commercial break.

After the commercial break, she told her audience: “That was not a stunt. I overheated in my costume. I passed out.”
She also added: “I’m a champ and I’m back” finishing the episode. The host seemed like she recovered fast, and continue to have fun with her fans. As a matter of fact, she was even dancing around with them.
Soon after at 12:20 p.m., Wendy was seen coming out from the studio garage in the back of an SUV. She even opened the window for a second.
“I’m ok,” said the host, who was wearing big black sunglasses. “I’m going home, thank you,” she smiled and waved.

The New York City Fire Department, responded to a call for a medical episode around 10: 30 a.m. at 221 W. 26th St. They went to an address that is the same location as the host’s studio. But, there hasn’t been any confirmation that the call was in response of Wendy’s on-air medical scare.
Wendy tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, reassuring everyone that she was doing fine. “Just need some water and electrolytes,” she wrote. “On another note, I slayed and laid Halloween, LOL!”
Ronn Torossian, a spokesperson for Williams, confirmed to The News that Wendy passed out, because she was dehydrated.
“She is on her way home for a good day and night of sleep. Wendy has been examined by medical professionals and is well. She is ok and will continue as shows as planned. She will address this on-air tomorrow,” Torossian said. “Wendy has never missed a day of work and is looking forward on November 13th to her 1500th show.”
