Something that encapsulates you entirely is when you watch someone perform a magic trick. You look at this magician, he’s just doing seemingly normal stuff, and then suddenly, the illusion appears right in front of your eyes, and your brain is completely puzzled. “How did he do that?!” I can still remember trying to watch Dynamo when I was younger and having to give up after about five minutes in, due to “intense brain pain”.
Some of you may know already, but the magic behind magic tricks (pardon the pun) is not rocket science. They’re actually surprisingly simpler than you might think. So with that, here’s how the 5 most common magic tricks are performed. You may or may not want to give them a try yourself after you look at this.
I don’t know what their actual names are, so I named them myself.
1. “The woman in boxes”
I don’t think I have encountered this one before, so if any of you know what trick this is, drop it in the comments.
3. Floating guy
These are the people you see in big touristy city squares.
4. You all know this one
5. The pencil
So, the next time you see one of these magic tricks, you’ll know how it all happened.
Feel like attempting one of these yourself now that you know how it’s done? Share your results in the comments!
