This Woman Lost 66 Pounds Despite Never Going To The Gym


Rachel definitely knows what it is like to be busy and worry about balancing everything in your life. She is a teacher and a mom of two beautiful children, who recently lost more than 66 pounds after her second pregnancy. But, as every other busy mom, she knows all too well that finding the time to work out at a gym is almost impossible. That wasn’t an excuse for Rachel though, as she started her weight-loss journey from home. Maybe it took her a little longer (a couple years, actually), but it most certainly paid off.

In an recent Instagram post, the mother of two wrote about her progress over the years: “At times you can get stuck and feel as though your not making any gains but then you look back to where you started and it’s something to celebrate to see how far you have come,” she said. “3 Years and still loving the journey.”

Also, Rachel told POPSUGAR that she has never been to the gym, not even once.”I used Kayla Itsines’s BBG Resistance program, and I work out from home with my two kids five days a week. Never used the gym, and all sessions at home,” she said. She enjoys working out to her favorite music and loves that the BBG workouts are “short but fast paced and high intensity.”

“You don’t need to work out for hours and hours on end and stress yourself out trying to get to the gym,” Rachel added.

When it comes to her diet, Rachel tries to eat as many vegetables and fruits as possible, and to to be so strict with herself since that is particularly hard when you have two kids. “However, I did allow myself to have treats often. I love chocolate,” she was honest.

When it comes to advice for women who are also on their weigh-losing journey Rachel suggests: “Have small goals that lead to your overall goal, and give it time,” she said. “Don’t rush the process, and enjoy the little wins. Don’t compare your progress with others. Enjoy life as well. Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

She also gives few tips on how to stay motivated to work out: “I used to make sure I lay out my workout clothes the night before to motivate myself and completed my sessions early in the morning so I would feel good for the rest of the day.”
