Brace yourselves, this might be one of the most important things you’ll read if you always wear a bra.
Just how many times have you failed in choosing the appropriate one? The material may not be right, the straps are uncomfortable, or it’s strapless but it’s going lower and lower as the day goes by.
So what’s the trick? You need to fit it correctly and make wearing a bra a dream instead of a nightmare.
Here’s what you need to know.
1. The Band
The band of your bra needs to give you 80% of the support. So make sure you fit it correctly – snug, but not too tight. It should lie on your back in a straight, horizontal line. Riding up means you have the wrong size. You should also be able to fit a finger under the band. Try it fastened on the last row, because as it stretches, you can move it to the inner rows to adjust it.
2. The Straps
Super important. You don’t want them tight enough to leave marks on your shoulders, and you don’t want them too loose. Remember, they provide the remaining 20% of the support. Check them by running your fingers beneath.
