Paris Jackson reportedly gave up on her pre-selected Australian designer dress. The 19-year-old actress is a VIP guest at Flemington Racecourse Cup this year, but can we call her that?
According to some reports from behind the scenes of Race Day say that she turned down the pre-selected dress designed by Alex Perry she was supposed to wear. Instead, the King of Pop’s daughter decided to go for a more boho-chic look sporting a headpiece made from crystals and her own desert boots. Can we call this a diva moment?
The reason behind all this according to the Sydney Morning Herald is simple; she wasn’t a fan of the red Alex Perry dress. So, she wore a lacey, amber-hued dress by Morrison with the unique headpiece by Ann Shoebridge. She also wanted to wear cowboy boots but she was told that they would not be suitable.
This is her first trip to Australia and it seems like it’s a special place for her. The Beat It singer married her mother Debbie Rowe in Sydney.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to visit Australia,” Paris told The Daily Telegraph of her upcoming visit. It’s one of the most beautiful places that I’ve seen pictures of, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to tune in and connect to one of the most high-frequency and gorgeous regions on the planet,” she told the media.
She also had a few words about the races.
“I wasn’t familiar with the Melbourne Cup Carnival before the opportunity came up to attend this year, but once it was brought to my attention I asked my Aussie friends about it and heard so many incredible things,” she explained to the publication. They say it’s ‘the race that stops a nation’, and I’m eager to experience this tradition for myself.”
