When Old Man Had A Meltdown At The Bank, The Police Helped Him Instead Of Arresting Him

The police in Montebello, California, got a call about a disturbance at a bank on the 22nd of September this year, they expected something awful was happening. Instead, the call actually turned out to be something awfully heartwarming.

When the officers rushed to the bank in question, they found out that a 92-year-old man was upset and causing a ruckus. The nonagenarian was trying to withdraw money out of his account but couldn’t because his California ID card had expired.

But the Montobello PD officers didn’t just calm the heated situation down; they did more than that. One officer, Robert Josett, went a step further and took the man down to the DMV to get a new ID card.

With the renewed ID card, Josett took the senior citizen back to the bank to complete the transaction

The Montebello PD, rightfully proud of their officer, posted the story on their Facebook page and the post immediately went viral. Over 255,000 people liked it, 19,000 have commented, and 40,000 shared it. I mean, who doesn’t like a news story like this?

Kudos to you, officer Josett. It’s so good to see police officers setting a good example, both in terms of policing and humanity.
