Marketing Experts From 18 Countries Photoshop A Woman Acording To Local Beauty Standards

In order to explore the relativity of beauty, a UK company, Superdrug Online Doctors, decided to enlist the help of marketing experts from around the world by asking them to edit a photo of an ‘average’ woman in order to make her more attractive according to what would be considered attractive in their respective countries.

The project called “Perceptions Of Perfection” features 18 images of the same woman photoshopped to reflect the beauty standards around the world.

“Widely held perceptions of beauty and perfection can have a deep and lasting cultural impact on both women and men,” Superdrug Online Doctors said in a press release.

“The goal of this project is to better understand potentially unrealistic standards of beauty and to see how such pressures vary around the world.”
