A Boy Battling Several Diseases Deserves A Spot On Your Mailing List

brave boy

This little boy definitely deserves a spot on your mailing list.

Like most 6-year-olds, little Brayden McCormick loves Christmas.

This little guy, who hails from Spartanburg, South Carolina, has already prepared a wishlist and he is ready to mail it to Santa.

However, the holiday season is a bit more special to the McCormick families than, say, you or me.

That’s because little Brayden has been facing a lot of rare medical issues since birth, ultimately leading to over 80 surgeries in his lifetime.

For this holiday season, the McCormick family are asking for help, and they are keeping it simple: Send little Brayden a Christmas card.

“This kid loves mail,” Brayden’s mom Nina Hopps told FOX Carolina. “He loves the post office, he loves the mail carrier and he loves cards. To get mail, this kid’s face just lights up.”

She hopes that a special delivery of season’s greetings will remind him that he’s not alone, regardless of what he’s going through recently.

Brayden’s most recent diagnosis is HLH, which is a rare autoimmune disease that causes the white blood cells to attack the other blood cells, as said by John Hopkins Medicine.

There is a page in the prayer support network lists some more of his eyewatering 40 different illnesses. These include problems with breathing, digestion and his spine.

Regardless of the health issues he’s facing, Brayden is always positive. “He goes through so much, and goes through it with a smile on his face,” says his mom.

Some of his favorite things include WWE, superheroes and roller skating, and he hopes to find a trumpet, trombone and fiddle under the tree this year.

If you want to help this little guy out and send him a Christmas card, you can mail it to this address.
