Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 56, is an American actress who is most famous for her work in television comedy, including Saturday Night Live, Seinfeld and most recently the political satire comedy television series Veep. Julia made history this year with her sixth-straight Emmy win for outstanding actress in a comedy series for Veep, where she plays a fierce woman that served both as President and Vice President. She has won more Emmys than any other actor in history.
Unfortunately, the actress has been diagnosed with breast cancer and in September she shared the devastating news with her fans on Twitter. She shared a picture that said: “1 in 8 women gets breast cancer. Today, I am the one.“
However, she also added how grateful she is to have an amazing and glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends.
Recently, she shared the first humorous photo of herself since the announcement, on Instagram. She told fans that she is done with her second round of chemotherapy and that she is a fighter that never gives up. Just like a tiger that will always roar.
“We are NOT f—— around here,” Louis-Dreyfus wrote along with a quote from Katy Perry’s song “Roar.”
Go get’em, Tiger! Her fans are supportive and sending their prayers constantly.
She didn’t address the fake mustache she was rocking in the photo, but she definitely looks like someone who will kick that cancer’s ass. You don’t mess with Julia, just as you don’t mess with Selina Meyer from Veep. They are both winners!
Louis-Dreyfus also tweeted a video sent to her from her co-workers Hale and Simons. The video shows them acting out “Julia Louis-Dreyfus vs. Cancer” as they lip sync to “Roar.” Every woman deserves friends like this that will support her 100% trough her fight against cancer.
