Ah, Jessica Simpson, that lady who gave short shorts a wonderful name, “daisy dukes”.
While in the early 2000s, her weight was quite a big subject of discussion, the 36-year-old, originally from Abilene, Texas, has recently decided to show off her fit figure in her signature daisy dukes, for her fashion label’s 2017 Spring campaign.
According to the press release, the singer-turned-fashion designer was inspired by “the essence of travel”.
The new collection, alongside the denim, will include items such as a burgundy crop top jumper and a very posh looking black lace dress.
The PR people who run the company’s Instagram account seem to be big fans of the way she looks in these outfits, as you can tell from that post up there.
And honestly, it’s easy to see why, because she has struggled with her weight almost all her life, sparking a lot of controversy in the process, but then she promotes her own spring collection, completely “slaying”, as the “cool kids” of this generation like to say.
She may look comfortable being back in her signature denim shorts, as she admitted to People in 2016, she mostly wears comfy clothes these days “[I’m] normally in sweats,” she told People last year. “I wear sweatpants but I have to wear heels with them.”
