Since 2010, Jennifer Lawrence has appeared on the silver screen every year in some of the biggest movies. The 27-year-old star was an audience favorite when she took the role of Raven Darkholme (Mystique) in three X-Men films, while the third, Dark Phoenix will be released next year.
Now, Lawrence admitted that she is knackered and wants some time off.
When she spoke to Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show, Lawrence said that she doesn’t have anything booked for the next couple of years.
She also added: “People feel so entitled to everything. You know, like when I’m getting photographed just like walking to Starbucks, I’m like why does anybody feel – why do we feel entitled to this?
“[At first] I was angry and resentful because I thought I deserved the right to do what I love and to do my job, and then still have privacy, and then after a few years you’re like, but that’s not just way it is, it’s just not.
“But it’s important to just keep a separation and know that the people screaming outside of a premiere, they’re screaming because of a job and because of a character.
“I don’t go home like, ‘Oh my God! Did you hear that, how much they love me?’ So, I don’t put any stock on it.”
Currently, the star is promoting the launch of her new film, Mother. The movie is directed by Darren Aronofsky, the film stars Javier Bardem as her romantic partner when their relationship is “tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.”
Right now, Lawrence has two movies set for 2018 which are the Red Sparrow and X Men: Dark Phoenix. Her time off might also be beneficial to find her wine tasting date since she is giving one lucky fan the chance to fly to California and get sloshed with her at a wine tasting event.
She is doing this whole thing for a charity where she sits on the board, Represent.Us.
