MetDaan YouTube darling channel cutepolish takes us through yet another nail art tutorial, this time using gold foil!
Set the Base
Start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails from staining and your polish from chipping. Paint your nails white as for the base coat.
Depending on the opacity of the polish, you may want to do a second coat of that. To speed up the drying process, add a fast drying top coat over it.
We will start by creating the pastel rainbow ombre. Paint several stripes in different colors over a makeup sponge.
Sponge it over the nail. Once you get the look you want you can clean around your nail. However, you might want to try and protect the cuticles from smudging by using liquid latex.
Next, the pattern. For the gold foil we are going to use metallic tattoos. You can find these at most clothing shops and accessories shops too.
Cut up the pattern that you want into small pieces that are just big enough to cover the size of your nails.
To apply, just peel off the clear backing. Position the tattoo over your nail. Use a wet paper towel to transfer the tattoo onto your nail. Peel away the excess tattoo using tweezers.
Finish off with a fast drying top coat. This will seal in the design and add a beautiful shine to your nails.
