A dermal filler injection surgical procedure two years ago did not go all that well for Nong Guang from Thailand after her forehead became infected. The 41-year-old had what is generally thought of as a routine procedure aimed at reducing wrinkles. She underwent the procedure in the Thai capital of Bangkok, and the surgery’s aftermath shows such operations are not to be taken lightly.
A while after the surgery, Nong realized something must have gone wrong as her forehead became squidgy and unnatural upon touch. However, it wasn’t until earlier this month that she decided to go for a check-up since the affected area started causing her pain.
Doctors discovered that the surgery performed two years ago resulted in an infection, which means the Thai woman had to subject herself to another surgical procedure.

The procedure was filmed and the gruesome footage shows doctors making a small incision on the woman’s forehead after which they slowly squeeze out a huge clump of pus. The operation lasted roughly ten minutes after which the area was stitched up to prevent further infections.
Nong’s dermal fillers, which are supposed to make the forehead firm, became infected and soft so they would move around like plasticine under her skin. Local media reported the patient is feeling well after the procedure.
“I had the filler two years ago but then the last three or four days it had started to hurt a lot so I went to see the doctor,” Nong, from Bangkok, told Viral Press.
“My whole forehead was soft and squidgy when I would touch it. The doctor told me there was a problem with it and that it had become infected.”
“It hurt a lot and I could move it around under my skin. It left a hole when it was touched. But I’m happy it has been fixed now,” the 41-year-old said.
A spokesman for the clinic where the removal surgery was perform said they had fixed the issue which arose after the initial filler surgery which was performed elsewhere.
“The patient came to us after having the filler injection surgery in her forehead. This had become infected and her forehead was very soft and left marks when it was touched. We removed it and made her forehead look beautiful again,” they said.
