There is something about coincidences. Tim LeBlanc happened to be awake at 2.a.m when the incident occurred in June 2015. He noticed something strange in his daughter’s bedroom. The window was open with nobody in the room.
“The screen was off and this window was open about 3 inches or so, I was scared to death. Everybody tells me I’m overprotective, but apparently I’m under-protective,” said LeBlanc.
He immediately began to search the neighborhood and very soon found his daughter nearby with a man whom she had just met on a social media site.
“He had the truck’s door open about this wide and had his arm around my daughter and was kind of sweeping her in, putting her into the truck,” he said.
Tim knocked the 27-year-old Scott Stilwell to the ground and took a picture of him. Later he shared it online.
“I probably wouldn’t have a daughter if I hadn’t caught this,” LeBlanc said. “You hear about it, but never really think about it. Just sick.”
Stilwell was arrested while his family was reportedly shocked by the incident, and told authorities that he had a history of mental illness.
