Look Out: Emma Watson Is Hiding 100 Copies Of “The Handmaid’s Tale” Around Paris

May the books be blessed! If by chance you’re in Paris on Wednesday, keep your eyes open for a copy of The Handmaid’s Tale and also the British actress Emma Watson is strolling around the city with books in hand.

The “Beauty and the Beast” star played the bookish Belle in the adaption of the film and her portrayal is obviously inspired by her real-life love of books. The 27-year-old is wandering around the streets of Paris with 100 copies of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian fiction, in partnership with the charity Book Fairies.

According to The Bookseller, The Book Fairies project was launched in March by Cordelia Oxley and has more than 5,000 people sharing copies of The Handmaid’s Tale across 100 countries.

“We are thrilled to welcome Emma once again as a book fairy, this time in Paris,” Oxley told the publication. “We are having fun finding great places to hide ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and look forward to hearing from people who find them.”

Finders of Watson’s treasures have been excitedly tweeting all day:

I mean, who wouldn’t be psyched to find such an amazing book hidden by an incredible person?

The model and activist has gone on book-hiding adventures a lot of times the past few months and most notably highlighting books written by female authors. Well, we can’t wait to see where she will appear next.
