A new Dutch reality show in the Netherlands is raising a lot of eyebrows. The show is called Neem Je Zwemspullen Mee or Bring Your Bathing Suit and is not doing so well with the critics.
A woman had to walk out to a rotating podium where four men were asked if she was growing a human life or if she had just gained a lot of weight.

They also asked other men if a woman’s breasts were real or fake.
In the pilot episode aired last year, people had to guess if Asian volunteers are Chinese or Japanese.

Twitter erupted with disdain over the sexist programming.
One user tweeted, “New program on NPO 3. Here four men have to guess whether this woman fat or is pregnant. Fun. Really fun.”

The makers of the show defended the concept by arguing that “the satirical setting is a way to laugh all kinds of prejudices”. Not all viewers were impressed by the show and also there has been a backlash about the show on social media. Someone wrote:
“Satirical or not, people on TV are guessing whether women are fat or pregnant…sign the petition!”
An online petition reads: “KRO-NCRV decided that the budget of public broadcasting can be best spent to be downgraded to a game involving women as pieces of meat … The program is thus suggesting that it is okay to shamelessly assess a person’s body.”
