Twenty-four-year-old Demi Lovato is all about her gorgeous face, sharing an unedited selfie with nothing but freckles on.
The caption read: “ No makeup, just freckles.”
The singer looked quite sultry, lying in bed, dewy-looking and covered only with a blanket, staring deep into our eyes.
The American singer, songwriter and actress had actually spent a lot of time coming into the self-confidence that she has today. She wasn’t really comfortable with herself previously, and she had to work very hard to overcome some issues.
She is one of the few public faces that would so earnestly tackle deep-rooted problems such as eating disorders and mental issues.
‘I’ve spent the past two years getting over an eating disorder and issues like self-harming and bipolar disorder,’ she went on to say in her interview in 2012 for SELF magazine.
‘Unlike a person who doesn’t have these problems, I have to work on this stuff every day. I’m reminded of that whenever I eat or feel down.’
She has finally settled into her own.
‘Once I started feeling better about myself, I felt better about showing more skin,’ she said.
‘I have insecurities about my arms, so to wear a tank top on stage is extremely liberating for me, and uncomfortable sometimes. It’s also a statement, like, “Hey, watch out. You’re no longer getting the insecure Demi that you’ve been getting for the past couple of years. I mean business now.”‘
And I’ll be damned if she doesn’t look absolutely ravishing! She totally owns whatever it is that she is wearing since she’s gained her confidence back.
Lovato is a great example of that particular rule that when you first enter a room, your demeanor and the love that you have for yourself enter first.
The Cool For The Summer singer managed to make her fallbacks something that she will be thriving on later in life. She has set empowering examples for all the girls and boys in the world who despise their reflection in the mirror.
Demi urged people to heal their innermost turmoil first, in order to then concentrate on their looks.
The upper picture of her in that ruffling, dusty pink number is from the Post-Oscars Vanity Fair party. There is something about that stare that gives off extra cool and composed vibes! She wears the dress well!
‘If there’s one thing I’ve learned… it’s that life is too short,’ she told Vanity Fair in 2015. ‘I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free.’
You go, girl!
