Looks like American businesses are embracing the spread of bathrooms anyone can use.

More than 160,000 businesses around the country now have a place where anybody can both do and be number one according to Yelp, which defines gender-neutral bathrooms as a “locking, single-stall bathroom.”

It’s important to emphasize that these are single-stall, locking deals. You won’t encounter any other human beings in these bathrooms.
Those single room, single toilet bathrooms have always been gender-neutral in spite of the signage anyway.

Yelp has noticed there’s an increased demand. People search them out, to the point that Yelp is building the ability to find the nearest gender-neutral bathroom into their app. They’ve been using the same ones on airplanes, trains, and buses for generations.

In states that have passed restrictive bathroom laws this is welcome news .
And just in case you don’t have the app handy, Yelp’s study noted that restaurants are the most likely places to find gender-neutral bathrooms, followed by beauty services and health providers.

They’re having fun with it as many businesses aren’t doing it begrudgingly.
Because inclusivity and accessibility is good for business, but actually being welcoming is even better.
