You know that feeling when you wake up after a nap but you felt like you haven’t taken a nap at all? Well, that as well as stuff from that caliber, as it turns out, can all be fixed, and here are some body hacks that will get you feeling a lot better and healthier very soon!
1. Espresso before a power nap
As contradictory as it may seem, the caffeine of the espresso will kick in around 20 minutes after you’ve drunk it, and when you wake up you’ll feel a lot more energized.
2. Dizzy belly
Clench your abdominal muscles if you feel dizzy, as doing that forces blood upwards and it all goes away immediately.
If you have a gag reflex, clench your left fist.
4. Drink more water
There’s no life without water, so in case you’re ever feeling down or you think you’re hungry, drink some more water and you’ll be fine.
5. Scratching your ear will get rid of that itch in your throat
When the nerves in the ear get stimulated, they create a reflex in the throat that causes a muscle spasm, which cures the itch.
6. Cough injecting
In the not-very-looked-forward-to times when the doctor has to give you an injection, cough as the needle is going in.
Studies show that people who coughed before taking the needle felt less of a pain, due to a sudden rise in chest pressure which inhibits the spinal cord from taking pain, which means a pain-free injection!
7. Eye remember now
Move your eyes left and right when you enter a room but can’t remember what you wanted to do, as it helps jog your memory.
8. Hiccup bet
Bet someone $5 that they’ll never hiccup again. As hiccuping is mostly psychosomatic, it works about 80-90% of the time.
9. Switch to the right ear
If you can’t hear someone all that well during a party or on the phone, switch to the right ear.
10. Distract your brain
As crazy as this might seem, if you need to relieve yourself, fantasize about having sex. Pretty soon, you’ll be fine.
11. Wake up with the sun around
Your body immediately reacts to that with a “Oh, it’s the sun, time to wake up!” attitude.
12. Night vision
Close your eye when you wake up in the middle of the night and turn on the light. When you turn off the light and go back to bed, your closed eye will have night vision.
13. Carb decrease
Eating less than 20g of carbs per day will force your body to use fats as a primary energy source, which means you will lose weight and feel an increase in energy.
That doesn’t mean you have to stop exercising, but it’s not required.
14. Too many drinks
If you have a few too many drinks, put your hand on something stable. This gives the brain another reference point so that it could balance, because the alcohol dilutes in the part of the ear called a cupula.
15. Brain freeze
Keep your tongue flat and firmly on the roof of your mouth and cover as much as possible to kill brain freeze.
16. Blocked nose soon vanish
Press your tongue on the roof of your mouth and then push between your eyebrows with one finger. With this, the vomer bone rocks back and forth and loosens up congestion.
17. Acid reflux

This keeps stomach acids below the oesophagus which keeps it from sliding into your throat.
18. Sleepy hand
Rock your head from side to side to eliminate a sleepy hand. This is usually caused by awkward postures that compress the nerves, and loosening up your neck relieves the nerves in it compressing.
19. Stop a toothache
Rub ice on the back of your hand to stop a toothache.
Researchers have shown that pain intensity can roughly be halved by numbing the hand in this manner for about seven minutes.
20. Honey destroys a sore throat
If you eat a spoonful every day. And it’s delicious, too, so it’s a win win!
21. When running, exhale when your left foot hits the ground

22. Apply pressure with one finger to stop nose bleeding

If you stay hydrated before your meal, you might curb your wish to overeat.
