88-Year-Old Woman Stops Intruder Rapist In His Tracks With One Sentence

An 88-year-old woman from Parkesburg, Pennsylvania has shared her surreal but extraordinary story of how she was robbed and almost raped by an intruder before she scared him off by telling him she had HIV.

Speaking to news network ABC13, Helen Reynolds spoke about the three-hour ordeal that took place when her apartment was burgled. A man posing as an apartment complex worker forced his way into her home and tied her up using duct tape.

“He wrapped it all around my face and my nose and my eye glasses. He had a piece in my mouth,” said Reynolds.

After collecting $40 from her purse, he was preparing to sexually assault Helen, who tried to fight him off but could not.

When her body failed her, brave Ms. Reynolds turned to her wit for help.‘Well it’s like this. You might as well know the truth.’ I said, ‘I have HIV and my husband died from it,’ which is a lie.

“When I said that he just walked out of the bedroom. That’s the comment that saved my life,” the 88-year-old recalled.

Reynolds said of her attacker: “I have nothing good to say about him. Nothing at all. Put him in jail, and leave the sucker there.”

Although it is difficult to argue with that sentiment, no one has been detained in connection with the attack until this moment in time.
