29 years of marriage is a lot and hearing a celebrity marriage lasting that long is astounding. It’s proven that celebrity marriages are twice as likely to end in divorce and that’s not hard to believe with the many crazy stories we hear coming out of Hollywood. So, it’s pretty awesome to hear that Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick celebrated their 29th year of marriage this week. They also posted love-fuelled tributes to one another.

The pair met on a set filming a TV movie called Lemon Sky and then married on September 4, 1998. They also had two children together, Travis, 28, and daughter Sosie, 25.

The photo looks like a throwback to sometime in the 80s or 90s. And Bacon’s #29yearsandcounting hashtag is just too cute. Stop it, guys.

Still crazy about him after all these years. #29years #luckiestgirlintheworld @kevinbacon pic.twitter.com/0LJ4jJ0BXr

To keep things real, Bacon threw a screenshot of a text message exchange with his wife on social media.

Sedgwick even told Redbook magazine in 2012 that “her heart still flutters whenever Bacon walks into the room.”

“He’s still a mystery to me. And getting older together is scary and exciting,” she said.

Did I mention it’s 1,404 weeks since we tied the knot @kyrasedgwick kikkosedg #LikeFineWine

“Did I mention it’s 1,404 weeks since we tied the knot,” he writes as the caption. Bacon’s really upstaging us all here by counting the weeks of his marriage when he’s that far in.

In this post we can see Sedgwick praising Bacon’s acting talents in relation to her directorial debut, a TV movie called Story of a Girl that aired in July. She cast her husband and her daughter Sosie.

Seems like acting runs in the family since Sosie also appeared in 13 Reasons Why and Travis was in the indie flick, Loverboy. The couple is very supportive and respectful towards each other and maybe that’s what keeps the magic alive after all these years of marriage.
