Can you believe The Twilight Saga began almost 10 years ago?

For those of you who haven’t heard of it, it presents a series of five romance fantasy films from Summit Entertainment based on the four novels by American author Stephenie Meyer, starring Kirsten Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The first and most famous installment, Twilight, was released on November 21, 2008.

In brief, the series is about love, vampires and the essence of family.

1. The Apple

When Bella Swan (Kirsten Stewart) is at the cafeteria salad bar, she drops an apple. Immediately, the vampire-boy Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) picks it up and cradles it in his hands. That exact scene is actually copied on the cover of the Twilight book. Surprising, huh?

2. Jacob’s muscles

Actor Taylor Lautner almost didn’t become Jacob because the producers were worried that he wouldn’t be able to gain enough muscle mass. Taylor proved them all wrong and ended up gaining 26 pounds of muscle!

3. Bella and Edward

Do you remember the iconic scene in which Bella and Edward are lying in the meadow? The sun coming through the trees actually makes a heart between them. And ever since this scene, we all knew they were always meant to be together!

4. The audition

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart auditioned for Twilight together in director Catherine Hardwicke’s house. Hardwicke made the pair rehearse the meadow make-out scene right on her own bed!

5. The vows

When the lovebirds exchanged their vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the song Flightless Bird, American Mouth is playing. Moreover, that’s the same song they danced to at the prom in Twilight when Bella tried to convince Edward to turn her into a vampire so they can be together forever. Until death do us part? Far more than that.

6. The sex scene

In an interview, Kristen Stewart confessed she despised filming the one honeymoon sex scene with Pattinson. The reason being she felt very uncomfortable and ashamed.

7. Bella’s Lullaby

In one scene of Twilight, Pattinson himself played “Bella’s Lullaby” from the film’s soundtrack on the piano, proving that in addition to being a talented actor he is a talented musician as well.

Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight series had a cameo in the film adaptation where she played appeared in a woman in a diner using a laptop.

9. The Wolf Pack

All of the actors from the “Wolf Pack” actually had to go to a “wolf camp” before they started filming New Moon. The decision was made in order to make the actors bond with each other.

10. Renesmee Cullen

Mackenzie Foy was the child-actress that played Renesmee Cullen, the daughter of the Cullen vampire couple. However, there were also 10 additional actresses who played her as she was growing up throughout the film.

12. Robert’s eyebrows
